A year after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology with her BFA in Design, she launched in 2018 her ready-to-wear collections that have captured the essence of timeless elegance while challenging conventional beauty standards. With a focus on sustainability and craftsmanship, Nia partners with female artisans in Mexico City and Lima whose generations-old techniques—such as macramé, hand-knitting, and crochet—are woven into each collection. These collaborations infuse her designs with rich cultural narratives and a dedication to preserving traditional craftsmanship while embracing modern design.
